Meet Judi Jerome

Judi earned a BS in Education from S.U.N.Y. at Plattsburgh, N.Y. Judi’s diverse teaching experiences include Head Start, where she not only taught but also supervised two classrooms and a staff of nine. After many years teaching Elementary, then Senior High School, she became a community educator at Planned Parenthood where her varied parent and teen programs along with her professional training workshops motivated her to take counseling courses at S.U.N.Y. Plattsburgh. She then attended the Vermont Campus of Adelphi University, NY where she earned a Masters Degree in Social Work.

Judi has been the owner of a private practice since 1990 working with a variety of issues and specializing in adults and young adults with AD/HD along with co-morbid disorders and life cycle transitions. For many years Judi had been operating her part-time private practice while working full-time in a substance abuse clinic and then as a staff therapist for a national Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Judi came to coaching naturally as she realized that she had been incorporating coaching skills and techniques into therapy sessions with her AD/HD clients. Judi prepared for this exciting addition to her career and business by completing Catalytic Coaching’s AD/HD Coaches Training Program.

Judi enjoyed writing a monthly coaching column for the National Center for Girls and Women(NCGW). Her sense of humor, personal and professional experiences and quirky writing style create useful articles that her readers relate to as both amusing and helpful. Judi weaves the focus of mindfulness throughout her articles as she does with her coaching.

Among her many interests, Judi enjoys photography, pottery, writing and she has a green thumb with house plants and her vegetable garden. Helping her coaching clients to flourish and reach attainable heights is a joyful, growth-filled experience that you too can benefit from.
